*GDCA Appeals Planning Board’s Wal-Mart “Re-approval” to District Council
At its regular April, 2015, monthly meeting, the GDCA voted unanimously to appeal the Planning Board’s Resolution “re-approving” the Wal-Mart Detailed Site Plan application (DSP 89063-07) for an ~80,000 square foot Wal-Mart “Supercenter” at Duvall Village Shopping Center. The GDCA’s Petition for Appeal (copy attached) was submitted to the Clerk of the Council on May 7, 2015, and copies were mailed to all 320+ Persons of Record in the DSP application. In addition to the GDCA’s appeal, an appeal was submitted on behalf of a number of other Persons of Record, including individuals and HOAs, and we understand that the District Council has also elected to review.
The next step will be that in due course the District Council will set a date for a Public Hearing on the application. Stay tuned!
